Summary: The IT department at Kaspersky Lab DACH is responsible for all IT provision for both Kaspersky Lab DACH and the Kaspersky Lab European Office based at the site.  This includes not only computer equipment and software but also audio-visual and telephone equipment.   The role is based at our office in Utrecht, Netherlands, during the working week from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5.30pm.  Out of hours work will be needed occasionally to maintain the infrastructure of the network and server environment.  The server environment is predominantly Windows 2008/2012/2016.  Some of the facilities provided across the network include Windows PC applications (MS Office 2010/2013/2016), file servers, terminal services, printing, e-mail and access to some HQ systems. Information Systems and Services are headed up in Ingolstadt by the IT Group Manager.  This incorporates server and desktop support, audio visual services, and general technical support.  The site runs its own Avaya telephone system, which is linked to the HQ infrastructure.

This role has no direct reports and you will report to the IT Group Manager (DACH). 


What will you be doing: 

  • Hardware and Software – maintenance onsite and remotely
  • Answering helpdesk phone calls, creation/resolution ticket in ITSM tool
  • Provide first line support on Sysadmin Tasks (MS Active Directory 2008/2012 administration, including user creation, passwords, DNS, DHCP)
  • Set up, configure and install new PCs and associated equipment; ensure all PCs and laptops are up to date with security updates
  • Cross location IT Support on EU level as well as close co-operation with our Head Office in Moscow (so called Remote Hands)
  • Server Administration; assisting with the implementation of new server and network infrastructure hardware
  • Network technics (Installation and maintenance); provide first support for network infra equipment (switches and routers)
  • Prepare technical proposals for improvement together with the line manager
  • Support different specialised applications
  • Support around the ongoing business; IT daily jobs (acceptance of support requests; handling of First, Second and Third level requests)
  • User Training
  • Travelling every two months
  • Systems used include: IBM Servers, Cisco network devices, Dell workstations, Xerox printers
  • Client Software used includes: Windows 7/10 Workstation, MS Office 2010/2013/2016 (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint), Chrome, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, Kaspersky AV and endpoint security.


What are we looking for: 

  • 3 years plus IT helpdesk or IT System Administration experience 
  • Fluent English AND Dutch with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems
  • In depth knowledge and experience of supporting MS Windows OS (7/10/2008/2012)
  • Experience of basic Windows Server 2008/2012 (AD administration, including user creation, passwords / DNS / DHCP, etc)
  • Knowledge and some experience of IP networks (Routing, Firewall)
  • Knowledge of Linux & Mac desired
  • Microsoft Certification welcome
  • Knowledge of VoIP telephony (Avaya) is an advantage
  • Specific education and experience in ICT field (Informational Technician, Telecommunication or similar)
  • ITIL Knowledge as well as basics and first experiences in Project Management (PRINCE2 and/or PMBOK Guide) would be an advantage
