Senior Accountant

Job responsibilities: 

Finance management:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, settlement and bank reconciliation;

  • Support staff members on expenses claims, verification and execution;

  • Handle bills, payment function and queries from vendors and others regarding payments such as processing of vendors’ invoices and payment, consumables etc;

  • Prepare vouchers and be responsible for data input into accounting system and internal records, perform validation and filing on timely and systematic manner;

  • Assist in the preparation of budget and forecast;

  • Prepare and reconcile income statement, Cash-Flow, and statement of financial position, including intercompany balances;

  • Prepare and maintain the company’s general ledger and auxiliary books, together with financial records and reports, following statutory and corporate policies and procedures;

  • Responsible for month-end closing, year-end closing and prepare local and corporate financial reports timely;

  • Liaise with auditors to prepare for financial audit and handle taxation issues;

  • Participate in system implementation;

  • Prepare and submit statistic surveys by government bodies;

  • Maintain proper filing system for policies, accounts, employee records such as personal files and general office documents to meet statutory, regulatory and audit purposes;

  • Perform other ad-hoc duties when assigned and any other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the company.

 

Office management and HR:

  • Manage the office functions to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day operations;

  • Manage front office duties, reception and incoming calls, incoming mails and outgoing courier and ensure smooth flow of communication;

  • Provide admin support to the entire office encompassing housekeeping, pantry food stocks, stationery, transport and travel;

  • Oversee overall security related activities for safeguarding assets of the organization;

  • Coordinate transport, security, courier, housekeeping, firefighting in the organization;

  • Handle property related matters such as lease, renewals, legal matters, insurance coverage, etc;

  • Manage facilities and infrastructure. Administration and management of office involving infrastructure, facilities, equipment and effective flow of work;

  • Personnel file management (arrange all personnel-related documentation to be in place, properly and timely signed and updated, compliant with local specific and HQ requirements);

  • HR system management (ensure that all personnel-related information in system is updated, contracts uploaded);

  • Payroll data management (ensure that all data required for payroll are collected and submitted to payroll including implement bonus/salary review according to guidance, attendance record, leave record, social insurance, supplemental insurance if any, allowances if any, etc.);

  • Operational support in recruitment (help to publish vacancies on local sites / advise, if specific local sites should be used, collect CV’s and forward them to the responsible recruiter, organize interviews, organize all document flow, including background check forms to be filled-in, offer letter to be made, etc.);

  • Operational support in onboarding, termination process, training process, other HR-related processes.


Job requirements:

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years' working experience in Finance;

  • Expertise and professional knowledge in accounting from intermediate level or higher;

  • Certified Chartered Accountant (CA); role strongly prefers ACCA or CPA;

  • At least 2 years of actual working experience in accounting for those with accounting expertise and skills at university level or higher and at least 3 years of actual working experience in accounting for those with accounting expertise and skills at intermediate or college level;

  • Working knowledge of Taiwan accounting standards and IFRS;

  • Familiarity with Taiwan labor contract law, trade union law, and related regulations;

  • Strong professional ethics, honesty, integrity, and awareness of law compliance;

  • Experience with Big 4 companies preferred.
